Maintenance Worker Vacancy

The City of Bayard is accepting applications for the position of Maintenance Worker.   Duties are maintaining the water and sewer system, reading meters, street maintenance, heavy equipment operation, building maintenance, parks/recreation maintenance, custodial work and any other duties related to municipal maintenance and operations. 

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, possess a valid New Mexico Driver’s License and be able to lift objects of at least 75 pounds.   Applicant must acquire Water Level 1 certifications within 18 months of hire date. Applicants are required to undergo a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. All applications should be returned to Bayard City Hall, 800 Central Avenue, P.O. Box 728, Bayard, NM 88023.

Applications may be picked up at the Bayard City Hall, 800 Central Avenue in Bayard, NM. Application will be accepted until positions are filled.  Final selection will be made at the Councils discretion.
